National Museum - Amethyst

We are currently having a friend from Germany over and I have been showing him around the city in the past few days.
On Monday I took him along to small group, on tuesday we toured the city and walked up half of Arthur's Seat to this ledge thing that runs round it. Actually my first time up the hill. And today we went to the National Museum, first time since the new refurbished part opened. Must say its really nice now and quite a lot bigger, took us around 3 hours to walk around the whole thing from bottom to top. Took this photo of one of the giant Amethysts in a section of the new area.

Other than that not much to report since my last post. Still feeling a bit lonely in my courses and generally useless in life.
