Belmont Soda Shoppe

Today I wandered into the Belmont Soda Shoppe. My idea of heaven, they had bottled soft drinks, Dr. Pepper, Coke, Sundrop, Mountain Dew, Orange Crush, there may have been more, but this is what I retained. They also offered a slew of candy, I scored some wax lips and a wax handlebar moustache. While I was standing in line to pay for my bottle of Sundrop, I got a whiff of fresh oranges. The owner was juicing fresh oranges, adding a dab of simple syrup and serving it over crushed sno cone ice. I quickly put my Sundrop back in the box and ordered an orangeade. Then came back two hours later and ordered a chocolate shake. Should I even mention the strange little kid coming in selling cake and I bought a chocolate/chocolate cake. WTF? I think I should never return to Belmont.
