Wales Supporters- for a day...

My eldest son and his friend talked their dads into paying for them to fly up to Auckland and buy tickets go to the semi finals of the Rugby World Cup. The first game was Wales v France, and seeing France beat us (the All Blacks) in the past and destroyed the nations confidence and self belief, maybe for ever, we will all be cheering for the Welsh. Eldest spend half a day and talked his mother into driving him to two shopping districts in aid of props for his Welsh supporters outfits. The All Blacks are always easy costume wise, as we as a nation have always have a tendancy for black humour and dark and serious clothing! Also we have always worn their clothing as supporters but Wales was a new territory for the cupboards. One of the side effects of having your house fall down in an earthquake is that all your possessions are in storage and your normal source of supplies is unaccessible.
In the end he made the big head hat out of a light shade from the damaged house, and got toether with a GIRL from school who lend him some extra red things. Son and Dad were dropped to the airport at 4.45am by gullible mother and went off into the terminal in his lightshade and his red skirt. He was planning to have a VERY VERY GOOD TIME, which was only ruined by the Welsh team itself who did not do the business and let the whole of two nations down, their own and us adoptive Kiwis. Collective dispair. It is apparently ok nowdays for a grown man to cry at the failure of his rugby team to not score one more point than the opposition. 4 More Years....

Terrible photo, via sons cell phone, but sorry still has to be the blip of the day, as it is the theme of the whole country today.
