There and back again

As soon as it began it was over. I think we did well for a trip to Iona that was just us, in the past we haven't made it further than the village. We only had two says of such laziness. I still prefer the house when it's full, and am learning that going there when I'm stressed out is bad as I have time to dwell, but I always appreciate the break once I'm home.

Cleaning and packing was fast and easy. Once again we were without the taxi, and poor Schrödinger did not like the walk to the ferry. The drive over Mull was awful - so many rally cars, all with no respect whatsoever for the driving conduct expected on the island. I took the drive from Oban, which despite being very set went fine and was carried out in good time. Felt very sorry for those going in the other direction on the A85 though, an accident had totally locked the road up by Loch Awe.

Naturally Schrödinger travelled fine while I was driving, I got to nurse her through all of her drooling otherwise.

Once home we consumed Dominos pizza, cava and the X Factor. I'm glad to be back.
