Harris Hack
Yesterday a friend and I joined a Harris Hack. The idea is to join together for a 1930s themed community bike ride. Tweed was the order of the day and vintage bikes were welcomed. Everyone made a huge effort, there were some lovely outfits and some interesting bikes. The mood was wonderful: a lot of us were strangers to each other but everyone was warm and friendly. As we cycled en masse through Cardiff, passers by were stopping to wave & shout encouragement. Most motorists seemed cheered by the sight despite us holding them up.
This was taken on the steps of the museum just after we'd had the official photo. Sepia seemed to suit the spirit of the event. It's not that good a photo but more will appear shortly here. But I have to tell you, cycling in a fur collar was bloody hot!
