Blip's the word
100 Blips! (Actually, the place of #100 in this shot bothered me so I decided to clone it to somewhere else. Since I couldn't get the lines straight I just left it like a stamp, as a reference to my faithful friend on this journey, Aperture).
I actually can't believe I made it and I'm still not fed up with it. This is the Blip where Blippers say it changed their lives and although I think the connotation is too dramatic for the non-dramatic forum Blip is, it actually did change the very nature of my looking at things. I'm even more curious now than I already was, I get frustrated when I see something nice and I can't capture it the way I want to or I forgot my camera (which are two things I'm working on) and I am so much more appreciative of things great and small that cross my path.
I rediscovered my love for writing and am truly surprised I get so much positive feedback on my stories. If ever I considered pursuing a career in photography, I know now that writing is my actual passion. The combination works so well because photography is such a relaxing thing to do after a days work, to fill in a dull moment or during a nice walk or visit to an interesting place. Blip has become a steady alternative for my diary (it seemed appropriate to honor mine in this Blip because I hardly ever write anything down in retrospect anymore. I'm sorry, my dear Moleskine!).
I am really grateful for Blip, the Blippers and the beautiful and intuitive interface of the website. It makes it so easy to keep it up if the technicalities don't work against you and if even your lesser pictures are welcomed with kind words. This was my first milestone, may there be many more! (Hurray, hurray, hurray!)
