CLEY-NEXT-THE-SEA

The last glimpse of Lavender Cottage down the alleyway before we wended our way home to Yorkshire. A fine holiday with lots of great birding. We met some lovely, friendly, helpful people, including two young lads who seemed perfectly happy to spend time helping a couple of amateur birdwatchers practically old enough to be their grandparents. We also bumped into a lady who we first met on Mull during our June holiday; small world.

The weather was mainly good, and for a few days excellent for October. Although still not feeling 100%, the walking was flat, hurrah, and the cottage at the end of the day was cosy and comfortable, and the bed oh so snugly.

Bird list for Norfolk 118; new for this year 10. An excellent holiday.
