Pretty expensive

Where do you go shopping in Beverley Hills? Rodeo Drive of course.

Fun to look to not to buy, I'd be interested to know what other folk think of this area. Sure it has all the designer brands but it was a bit dusty, rather quiet and lacked the sparkle of - for comparison - Fifth Avenue in New York.

We loved seeing it, and met the next in a set of fantastically friendly Californians who gave us some local tips and took some great shots of us the tourists in front of the Beverley Wiltshire Hotel (made famous by Pretty Woman and - we heard - where President Obama had stayed the night before).

We began to get to grips with the LA geography a bit, driving along those big boulevards from here to Hollywood and then back to Santa Monica.
