Red Admiral

We are almost there - 24 hours without any rain! Went to bed under a starry sky and woke up to sun and blue sky. Yippee! I reckon another 2 or 3 hours without rain and we will have made it, although dark clouds are gathering as I type. Boo!

Apologies for blipping another butterfly, but I just couldn't resist the bright colours of this Red Admiral on the yellow dahlia. The flowers in the garden are all pretty battered with the wind and rain and, as most of the annuals will soon be lifted, butterfly plus contrasting yellow flower seemed appropriate for the first sunny day in ages.

Heading up to Renfrew tomorrow before going off for a weeks holiday in England, ending up with 3 days near Bicester to meet up with oldest son and his girlfriend. Blipping is going to be dependent on wi-fi so may end up back- blipping.
