Every cloud has a silver lining
As the first line of a blues song always starts, "woke up this morning, got out of bed.." I couldn't believe my eyes, the sun was out in Edinburgh! What I should have done was get my posterior into gear and get out straight away, instead I watched the Grand Prix (good to see Lewis getting plaudits for driving well instead of banging into things) and then I chatted to a friend on Facebook for a while.
When I eventually did get out I headed westwards to have an attempt at getting a good shot of Butterbridge which is just past the Rest and Be Thankful and before the beautiful Lochfyne. Just as I arrived the heavens opened and I could feel hailstones falling down my back. I could have just given up but instead I persevered, stood out in the rain and eventually a few clouds parted to reveal one or two patches of blue sky just long enough to get this one.
I would love some of your opinions. I am going to produce my annual calendar and I would really like people to tell me the images you have most liked in the last year (and going back to December). If you could drop me a note of the dates you thought were good and you never know, you may see the photo you chose in the camera. Please e-mail me contact@trixtaphotography.co.uk with your picks - thanks in advance.
