Coming Home!!!
Today we brought our little lady home!!! This is us picking her up from DT Kenilworth. It was brilliant and I have to admit to having had a tear or two in my eyes!
She coped with the car journey and I have to say I think she will be absolutely fine... with all the winding roads we travelled down today if we were going to have a problem I think we would have found out. Apart from being a little anxious, she was fine. I think I am going to have to buy the Ford dog grill though.
She has been brilliant and has settled in really well since getting home. It was all very strange for her. She wasn't sure about the conservatory at first or the fact that she could see herself, but after about 2 hours life was great. We decided that contrary to the advice we had been given we took her for a walk, she benefited from it and so did we so I don't have any issues with it. It was the right thing to do and helped her settle even more because she had got some energy out of her system.
I sit on the sofa and the lovely R sits in his chair and Angie now lays on a blanket between the two of us a place which has been her choosing and she has settled their really nicely... even having a little snore earlier!
She did make me laugh after her dinner which she wolfed down!!!! She came through from the kitchen to the living room and promptly burped loudly twice... such a lady lol!
Now she's asleep and our next challenge is her sleeping in the kitchen on her bed tonight. I don't see a problem to be honest. I think she will settle nicely.
Angie is a dream come true and is an absolute star and a sweet little thing but most of all she is loved so, so much by both of us already. Welcome Angie, hope we have many happy years with you!
