Deschutes River near Columbia Park

Cindy and I went for a walk--we needed to stretch our legs after our long day. We attended church in Crane, which is a 3 hour drive from Bend. We love meeting with the Saints there! If we add up our sitting time, it was 10 hours! No wonder we needed a stretch!

This part of the river is beautiful. The Deschutes River meanders down the center of Bend, and is a major attraction. We were standing on a walking bridge over the river that leads from Columbia Park to Shasta Place. It was a delightful walk, and I discovered at Columbia Park a wonderful new playground the grandkids will love!
