St Michael's
A back-blip. Untouched apart from a little crop. The sky was this blue!
We've been out and about owing to the abundance of Libra birthdays amongst our nearest and dearest!
We sneaked in a quick walk around Blewbury before our visiting rounds.
The ancient thatched cob walls and quaint cottages of the village lent an almost surreal 'Cider with Rosie' aura to the afternoon sunshine.
This is St Michael's and All Angels church. Over 900 years old, it still has many original features, including Norman arch windows, flint-building work and a full ring of eight bells.
It is located near the Cleve, the village pond, which used to house watercress beds. At the turn of the 20th Century, Blewbury Watercress was sold as far away as London.
As we were admiring the view, the Church cat sauntered through the autumn leaves carrying a dear little shrew shaped victim... Nature eh?!
