gasometer

This is a gasometer in schöneberg... Rote Insel, to be exact.

wet cement and I took the S-Bahn to schöneberg specifically to see this dealy. While we were taking pictures of it a Berlin native came up to us and told us that we should take nice pictures of it while we can, because pretty soon they're going to erect really tall skyscrapers in the area and the whole thing will be lost in a sea of buildings. It was cool to have some interaction with a random guy on the street, especially one who was so nice.

I'm definitely going to go back when the lighting is better, and I'm going to have to make more treks like this in the future. I want to get to know other parts of the city better.
