Widewall Bay

A pretty typical view of around here at this time of the year. Fields full of bales of straw - and of course it is always sunny! Ha!

Much colder now. I harvested the last of the runner beans and pulled up all the vegetables that were finished cropping. Rather than leaving them bare, I am covering the beds in seaweed as I go, which is traditional round here, and it will rot down over the winter.

Bought mushrooms today at £4.29/kilo in the local shop - is this some sort of record? And don't get me started on the price of petrol . . . . !
