Supercross

Brockhole Visitor centre hosted the first stage of the "Rapha Supercross" cyclo-cross series.

Cyclo-cross is riding a road bike with slightly knoblier tyres round a cross-country circuit. When you get to a part you can't ride, you get off and run with your bike over your shoulder.

There were lots of different classes.

Tiny tots right up to the "Elite" class. The weather was superb and the racing fast and furious.

I saw at least 2 badly buckled front wheels.

I don't think anyone got more than a couple of grazes though.
