Deer in the Rain

Oh my it rained nearly all day - it stopped for a while and just as I was about to leave to try and catch the clouds below the Ochills I spied the deer in the field behind the house.

They are a new little band as the last of the previous bunch was killed on the road in June. Its hard to see them as they are so well camouflaged in the tall grass and dead thistles - you just see their white bottoms!

Had to take this from inside the bedroom window - no chance if I'd opened it!

Drove to the place where I knew I'd get some nice shots of the hills but they'd disappeared behind the clouds again, not happy with the misty views of the Wallace monument - so deer it is!
