We arrived here yesterday, and were immediately kettled. Voluntarily, to be fair: "If you go in there, you can't come out again" "Oh, OK". Later on, it was: "If you leave, you can't come back in again", but I'm sure they knew what they were doing.

Apart from a nasty moment when the riot police decided they needed to defend St Paul's Cathedral from an entirely peaceful bunch of demonstrators, the atmosphere has been wonderfully relaxed and cheerful. I even slept through the cathedral clock chiming every quarter of an hour.

No more kettling this morning. We nipped out for breakfast at corporate Costa (please don't tell anyone).

There are toilets, and free food. Come on in, the revolution's lovely.
