Interesting History...

I decided to Blip an historical sign that is located maybe seven miles from our home. The first time I saw the sign, I was so interested in the fact that it was placed in a location where natural gas was seeping up from the earth and caused early settlers some concern. (We have come a long way, haven't we?)

The sign is situated in the front yard of an older house and as I thought about it, I was in awe that the famous New World explorer, LaSalle, had actually been in "our neighborhood"! I know to folks who live in Europe, with history going back to ancient times, this exploration in the 1600's is relatively new, but to those of us in the USA, I think it is amazing.

Ah ,if only the trees could talk.....
