Heron

Day 7 of building work but I managed to escape to yoga as hubby is home this week.

The ducks appear to have moved to lower ground but return during the day. Had given up hope of a photo when I spotted this heron at the edge of the pond. Stalked it as it flew around the edge to try and get away from me. Although I couldn't get really close I love the colours of the foliage around the pond just now.

Very autumnal and it is getting very cold. Hope we don't have to go without heating over the next few days or will need to try and find the hot water bottles.
