That Darn String

The kids bought me a new set of strings for my guitar considering the high "e" had twanged during a heavy session (well a heavy strumming session as I still can't play well). Eager with the knowledge that in less than an hour I would be using my axe rather than Susan's bow-like strat copy...

Yeah well nothing goes according to plan, does it?

Not only did the e string snap while I was putting it on, but it teased me with being just half an inch too short for me to string properly. No amount of stretching and liberal usage of pliers has worked, and for some reason finding anywhere selling a single string results in additional postage of almost five quid!

Looking at it in a different light it means I have only five strings in which to learn how not to play on ;)
