our street

we had a networking event this afternoon for different NGOs in our city, ndola.

it was pretty cool to meet with different people and see what is going on. it's pretty exciting to see how we can change this city by working together.

we met a wonderful old italian lady who lives on our street and we didn't even know it. she took us back to hers for some amazing italian espresso and told us a bit about her life.

she moved here 25 years ago and has raised 8 wonderful zambian orphans, most of whom are now teenagers. she was a real example of what it means to live a life of sacrifice.
