Mallard Mambo

The mallard ducks have been putting on quite a show lately! I always thought they mated in the spring, but maybe it's a year long ritual;). This fella would swim a bit, then elongate his neck over and over as if to say "am I not the handsomest fella around?", then he would flap his feathers! Notice she is right behind him thinking to herself, "ah, just another duck in the pond!"

Our back yard/patio looks right out to a pond, and I have waited patiently all summer to get this shot!! Never thought it would happen, so thank you Mr. Mallard!!
