Stumped

I've noticed this tree stump on the shore at Broughty Ferry a couple of times and finally got round to getting a shot with it and the Tayport lighthouse (featured here) today. I like the textures.

Wild and windy by the river, took dozens of shots of black-headed gulls and turnstones flying by, into the wind, as Jem put them to flight as she walked ahead of me. None of them worked.

Did get some good shots of the lifeboat (including some better than this one) as it was called out and headed up river into the sun towards the bridges. Never found out what they were called out for - the traffic was awful heading home so avoided the river. I do like living in a city which, even when the rush hour does get particularly bad (which is rarely in comparison to most cities) it is easy to find a way round!
