Poucher was an interesting character - I have it on good authority that he used to wear make-up and pristine white gloves for dinner each night, whilst staying at a fairly well known hotel in the Highlands.

a strange old day today. I can't really put my mind to much. I'm supposed to be taking up a friend's skirt hem - not in itself a major task, but I seem to be finding it difficult to the point of impossible.

I've lost a stone in less than three weeks. I also noticed that my leg hairs have largely disappeared. I don't think the weight loss is due to the lack of leg hair, as my trousers won't stay up - but then again, that could be down to lack of friction.

I'm blaming it all on the new pill.
