Green

After a refreshingly slow breakfast..........followed by a coffee and a sit-down chat! - I finally left J & J's to head over to the Awhitu peninsula to visit C & G late morning.

Picked G up on the way through (his car was being fixed), bought a few provisions then headed up the peninsula. It's always such a good feeling visiting here - it's green, it's peaceful, it's spacious and of course, it's great to be in the company of good friends.

Even though it was later than I'd intended C and I headed out for a late afternoon walk. It turned out to be a rather long 10km walk and we got wet as it rained towards the end :(

Still, it didn't stop us talking and catching up which was good :) It's such a long time since we talked and so much has happened in between times - sadly, quite a bit of not-so-good stuff. It was good to hear what's been happening but more importantly, to hear that C is dealing with things well and is in better spirits and space than I'd thought she might be.

Had a late meal after we got back - and despite saying a number of times that bed was calling, we continued to chat, compare and share.........events, web-sites, successes, failures, thoughts, stories.......

There are some people who I am so very pleased to have in my life and I feel blessed to have shared the company of some of those people this weekend.
