In the Garden

No, not my garden!

County Wicklow is known as "The Garden of Ireland" on account of having many places of great beauty. This morning I did not go to visit one of them. In fact I went to visit one of the ugliest places, the old mine workings outside Avoca village. Spoiled with the disfigurement of year after year of human industry.

Across the valley however was another world altogether. I had intended showing you something of the mines bit the three trees and their shadows are far nicer to look at.
