It's a convent find

Lots of the artifacts from this house had been removed by the time we bought it. Every now and then, however, we come across pieces in odd places.

This restrained little cross turned up some years ago, but just yesterday I found a fine silver chain under the washing line. This space used to be the pathway to the pupils' loos when the house was a religious school. I wonder who lost it and when.
