Teenagers!!

Meet Freya my niece's daughter - I'm her great aunt and she is a great niece! She recently turned 13 and it was wonderful spending time with her. It reminded me of when I was her age. One minute on top of the world and the next flying into a rage about who knows what!

I think she and her younger brother had the best bit of their holiday with me when I gave them both a bowl of cornflour and some water to make into gloop! They had such fun and it was wonderful to see them revert to enjoying the simple pleasures of little children before my eyes. It is so hard to be in that in between world that teenagers inhabit - wanting deperately to be grown up but still working through the process.

Their short break ended today and I had a good catching up day before I get to spend some time with my grandsons tomorrow.
