Faraway
I was reading my manual the other day and shamefully discovered a new button. It's a 2x 'teleconverter'.
This fairly dull shot is the result of an experiment. The 2x button only works in live view and not through the viewfinder. It also doesn't work in RAW. So this s from Alnwickhill Reservoir to Edinburgh (5km or thereabouts)- theoretically 600mm using a 300mm lens.
So if you take into account the lack of control with only Jpeg and the extra shake I think you get when you don't use the viewfinder, is this any better than taking a normal picture and just cropping it?
I don't know, becuase I'm a crap scientist and didn't take a 'control' shot to compare it to.
Tonight I'm not feeling that good at cycling either and my lungs hurt a bit after exertion in the new cold weather. Tonight I can safely say that compared to Joe, Instography and Wingpig I was by far the slowest. Slug. The extra bit on my own from Ferry Road to Liberton wasn't that easy either.
