Musée Marmottan Monet
My aunt left early this morning and today is my mother's last full day in Paris. We had been wanting to go to the Musée Marmottan but it was closed for a couple weeks while a new show was being installed. It reopened this morning and Mom and I were the first ones in. For a little while, we had the whole place to ourselves... and that's when I snuck this picture, in the Berthe Morisot room. You can see Morisot's self portrait here and a reflection of another one of her paintings in the mirror. The new show is of pointillist works by Henri Edmond Cross - very nice, but the permanent collection here is one of the best.
J arrives tomorrow! Yeah!
