Old houses

These 2 houses are reputed to be the oldest houses in Macclesfield. They pre-date the Bate Hall hotel, which was built in1525,where Bonnie Prince Charlie stayed on his way to Derby. Macclesfield was on the trade route between Scotland and London in the 16th century.
