a rainbow in the orchards

i spent my day in the 'city' down the lake michigan coast today. ill be moving there soon and used the day to find a place to live. driving home that evening with not only a place to live, but also a whole lot of excitement for what's to come - i was completely joyful!

and so i smiled as i drove down one of my favorite stretches of road. rolling hills covered in orchards. cherries, peaches, apples, and so much more. farm stands every few miles, bountiful with apples, pears, and pumpkins of course. as this beginning of a rainbow brightened in the evening light, i couldnt help but pull over for a photo.
