May 1940...

...an extract from a magazine called Housewife.
I didn't have any other photos today.
Well, I could have had a photo of the baby mouse that ran across the room in front of me, if I hadn't been saying in a panicky voice "Oh no, oh no" and run around trying to think of ways I could distantly capture it without being in a near proximity.
Yes, I could have reached calmly for the camera and photographed this little creature, if I was that sort of person,
or rang for the maid or butler to take the photo and then capture the wee thing, if I was that sort of person.

So I am sharing instead a page from a magazine I bought today at Stewart's bookshop in North Berwick.
