Day 19: Science

This was always going to be an easy photo subject for me, since I work in a lab and take photos there anyway.

This is a gel being loaded with a sample of mixed proteins, which will be separated by size when an electric current is passed through it. There's an explanation here. It's a technique which is used a lot in our labs, to analyse the production of different proteins in bacteria, under different conditions.
