Fragility and strength

I've had the conversation this week how kindness can be construed as weakness - as license to take advantage.

And I suppose this is sometimes true

But I have also found that choosing to do the kind thing often takes a kind of quiet strength that you don't know you have until put to the test.

This week has put me to that test several times. Beckoned me to choose the fragility of kindness in the face of the opposite. Somehow like the fragility of this web clinging onto the strength of the bark!

I find it beautiful....
