I spent the day teaching G and S how to record a skeleton. It is sad how little practical work they seem to have had in their Osteoarchaeology course.

I think they thought that I was being rather cruel when I made them reassemble fragmented ribs, but it is the best way to learn how each of the twelve pairs of ribs are similar yet different to the neighbouring pairs.

They only knew how to use electronic callipers, though. Couldn't read a Vernier scale. I don't know...kids today...if it don't have a battery in it, they don't want to know...
