Red Again

The dwarf Amur maple in our front yard is losing its leaves as quickly as they turn red. It's thrilling against the blue spruce that stands tall behind it even if the show is short. Just what I pictured when we planted it.

The flash was accidentally turned on when I took this photo in daylight. I like the effect here so much I think I'll try to remember it.

The kitchen was splattered red today too as I turned tomatoes into tomato soup concentrate for the freezer.
