The Valley...

Grotty, wet, cold, and miserable weather tonight so I didn't want to venture far...an anyways by the time I got the fire going, wood bought in and sundry other bits an peices the light was fading fast.

This is the valley just up the road that all the big wigs seem determined to spoil...first they thought it would be an ideal place to build a Mega-Dump for 3 quarters of the entire country's rubbish...idiocy since the auquifers that supply Christchurch's water run under it!...Then when that proved impossible they decided to build a 50m high dam, flood it and turn it into a lake for irrigation...this with an active earthquake fault thru the middle of it!

I'm glad that for now our beautiful valley can safely stay clean an green..just the way it is!
