rare luxury
It seems unusual and rare to get out for a lunchtime wander with sufficient time to take a non-direct route and linger over interesting-looking things. Rushing out, heading straight to a place of food-vending then rushing straight back gets very limiting sometimes. I didn't miss it much during the summer as the light's too harsh for decent photo-wandering but it's nice when it's this sort of bright-for-the-time-of-year-but-still-dull state, especially when the lunchtime wander will soon be the only source of sunlight. I need to work on my being-inclined-to-stop-more-whilst-cycling so that I can go out for lunchtime photo-trundles rather than having to stick to feet if I think I might want to stop.
