I want...

...doesn't get.

A saying as old as the hills, but still true today.

Overheard during multiple trips to Tesco today:

Child: I want that.
Parent: Well ask Santa.
Child: I'm tired of asking Santa for stuff cos it takes ages to come.

And also a different child and parent combo:

Child: I want that.
Parent: You're not getting that.
Child: I hate you.
Parent: Fine. You're grounded.
Child: Fine. I still hate you.

Thankfully the school holidays are almost over, and Tesco goes back to normal levels of busyness! :)
