Friday puzzle - clouds................

It's Friday and I sometimes do a music related blip on Fridays.

So - hope you are up for this. It's quite easy I think but there is an underlying long-standing unresolved puzzle. Appetite suitably whetted today we have
"...............I had some dreams they were clouds in my coffee, clouds in my coffee and...."

What's the song?

And - now for the impossible bit - who is the song about? The mystery has been rattling around for decades - since 1972 in fact and is still a mystery today despite lots of rumours and innuendo and hints etc from the singer.

Having planted these seeds I bet you will now be humming the song in your mind all through the evening, and very possibly all through the weekend too!

ps - for those interested in wild life and grizzly bears see my blip from the same date last year (via the icon below) for a young blond coloured grizzly in British Columbia which was patrolling right outside our Land Cruiser. Out of shot but just as close was the much bigger mother and another cub. The mother was not amused that her cubs had strayed out behind our vehicle and spent a bit of time shooing them on into the adjacent river where the swam off to the other bank. It was the most amazing experience, and more that a bit scary. Our guide had never had wild bears come so close to a vehicle before.
