Rudy and Stairs

This was taken on the way home after a lovely day with my boy. The train over the rail bridge is always a treat and even more so when a visit to Deep Sea World awaits at the other side. The last time that we were here was the day before I went into hospital to have Alice. She was induced so we made the Deep Sea World voyage very consciously: Rudy's last ever treat as an only child.

Today, as then, I felt an amazing sense of pride and joy and happy sadness watching him being his own person; enthralled with everything around him and full, so full of brilliant energy. Rudy is obsessed with many things, but sharks and other under-sea creatures are his main love just now, so it couldn't have been a better day for him and he was a brilliant wee tour guide for me.
