Lunchtime Relaxation
Total Relaxation
Ever since I started blipping, almost six months ago now, I feel that that this process of looking for an image each day has allowed me tap into some deeper part of myself that I've not had much access to for a long while. I've often been amazed at the images I've produced, the timing of the events that led to them, and their synchrony with what's happening in my life. Looking back, I'm also amazed at the openness of my writing. It seems like this community encourages the flow of words from the heart.
I owe a debt to Sgwarnog for prompting me to change the title of yesterday's blip to Portal. When he used that word in his comment it immediately struck a chord. It made me see the image in a new light. I think it's become one of my very favourite of all the blips I've posted. It would be easy to get carried away with all this symbolism so I'm going to let it sit for a while. It's certainly got me thinking, as has your insightful comments. Thanks to everybody once again for the fantastic feedback.
No deep symbolism today, just a shot of the canal at Saltaire on a sunny lunchtime, given a bit of treatment to conjure up the rather mellow mood of the day. Some people on a barge, a runner on the towpath, me out walking with the camera. Three different approaches to relaxing at lunchtime.
