Alton Towers day 1

We had an early start to get to the park for opening time. In the summer this is a great tactic as, if you head straight for one of the big rides, you can usually get a few shots before the queues start getting big. That worked again this time, only the queues never got big all day. It stayed bright and dry all day too, if a little chilly.

It was a great day in the park. Also, since it's the build up to Hallowe'en, it was the start of scare fest which meant lots of scarily themed events and rides as well as lots of guests in fancy dress.
