Sir Eduardo Luigi Paolozzi, to be precise. I bet you didn't know he was Scottish...

I was at the British Library today, next door to St Pancras station, and read the plaque in front of this sculpture, which I'd ignored many times.

Paolozzi's sculpture was inspired by William Blake's 1795 print of Newton, and is an attempt to demonstrate the massive shift from thinking of a world ordained by religious notions to a world that can be described by mathematical, geometrical laws...
