This one's for Mark

Who has been after me to do a shot of flames for ages.

Hardly a breeze today, so lit the huge pile of bark and leaves (at least a couple of metres across and high). These don't compost down so a few times a year have a huge bonfire.

It always rather frightens me, and keep a hose handy which I use when the flames get too big.

And they do get pretty big!

Would of course be better taken at night, but am letting the flames die down now and will cook a steak over them and potatoes and sweet potatoes in the coals tonight.
