Layers

I have wanted to stop and take a photo of this view of the dam for a while. I love the stretch of the mountain range. When I looked into the viewfinder I realised that I had captured a view of many layers. The farm in the foreground starts the rows and they end up with the strip of rock peeping through on the top of the mountain.
This photo is taken from the road above our neighbouring farm and it has captured Caribean Estate and Kosmos Ridge.

Layers represent the many parts of our lives; family, work, community. The different roles we have to play; wife, mother, friend.... The list goes on. Our lives are built on layers year after year. And one day we will get a chance to look back at the tapestry that our lives have woven!


We had a beautiful summer day today. The boys had friends to keep them busy and we enjoyed a relaxing day. We went to Jasmyn and bought fresh fruit which I made into a big fruit salad.
