Yet another desperation blip...

Above my computer is my little shelf of mostly french reference books which I keep on hand. I have several pocket dictionaries as it seems that every time I go to Paris, I forget to bring one and I end up buying another one once I get there. I am far from being fluent, but I feel as though having these close at hand most of the time ~ along with the many recordings I listen to on a regular basis ~ that I will steadily improve and be much better prepared for my next trip abroad.

The bird book is a gift from a bird-watching friend which also comes in handy from time to time. I've yet to master any of the bird languages yet either.
