Oystercatcher
Lunch with a new friend today, never been to their house today, and it was a real eye opener. Very modern, lots of glass, slate and whiteness. So clean and not a dog or cat hair in sight! Such a beautiful house though, full of lovely things and terrific views. Watched hares chasing and playing in the field, and oystercatcher chicks being herded about by their fraught and noisy parents.
Came home and did a couple of hours weeding between the flagstones round the house. Little bits of green between them is one thing, huge docks, nettles and dandlions I can do without!
After tea Mr P and I took Ollie and the new camera round the field. Took loads of shots of Ollie, but this one won the day. There are oystercatchers everywhere just now, screeching and pleeping, feeding in the newly cut silage fields, and taking panic everytime a blipper with a camera appears!
